Studio AKKA

Here is a beautiful competition entry from Akka and an example of  how a clear representation ‘attitude’ can bring the anticipated experience of the landscape alive. Clean, illustrative, and abstracted just this side of cartoonish,  this set of drawings immediately transport me to a hip ski event in this stylized wintry place.

Oh The Bartlett and other reasons why landscape architects need to represent

When it comes to exploring representation techniques heavy in mixed media and superbly crafted, the Bartlett School is a huge source of inspiration. The students at Bartlett are a norm in any representation competition, and the school definitely has a recognizable style, so let’s try to figure out what it is about their  style that is so appealing.
